Google will be recalled to a parliamentary inquiry again after inconsistencies were revealed in statements about its UK activities. Vice president Matt Brittin is due to be grilled by the Commons Public Accounts Committee (PAC) after Reuters revealed that the Internet search giant had described its London offices on its website as a base for sales teams and advertised dozens of London-based sales vacancies.
At a hearing in November, Mr Brittin said that all UK sales were carried out from Ireland and that no sales took place from Britain. Google has denied that Mr Brittin misled the PAC in November.
