De steden aan de Elbe en de Bosporus zouden ten dode zijn opgeschreven, als we een nieuwe waarschuwing van de ISIS-gekken moeten geloven. Volgens de terroristen is Europa enorm afgeleid door de strijd om het jihadistische bolwerk Raqqa, waardoor zij ongezien schade kunnen aanrichten in de eeuwenoude Europese steden die zo belangrijk zijn (geweest) voor het christendom. Christenen moeten het binnenkort stellen zonder hun eeuwenoude religieuze hoofdsteden. Tenminste, als het aan ISIS ligt. De terroristische groepering heeft gedreigd om zowel Rome als 'Constantinopel' (een verouderde naam voor Istanbul) met de grond gelijk te maken terwijl het Westen gefocust is op de strijd rondom ISIS-hoofdstad Raqqa. Die stad aanvallen is een kolossale strategische fout, lijkt ISIS te suggereren.
The Islamic State (IS) sent a warning to the United States President Donald Trump about their plans to expand control to Istanbul and Rome, a counterterrorism organization reported on Monday. According to the SITE Intelligence group, a non-governmental counterterrorism organization, a Somalian militant linked with IS suggested the extremist group would conquer more territory.
“You might have your eyes on Raqqa [and] Mosul, but we have our eyes on Constantinople [and] Rome,” the militant said, referring to the US-led coalition’s campaign in Iraq and Syria.
“The implication [of the Somali fighter’s message] is that Europe will suffer the consequences of the displacement of [IS] from its strongholds of Raqqa and Mosul,” [counterterrorism expert David] Otto explained. “This is a clear warning sign to all European states including the UK, France, Belgium, and Germany that an attack is imminent,” he concluded.
Kortom: ISIS zal wel niet zo snel hun gitzwarte vlag gaan hijsen over het Capitool of de Haga Sophia, maar het is wel degelijk oppassen geblazen. Al maandenlang wordt er immers gewaarschuwd dat de ineenstorting van het barbaarse ISIS-kalifaat zal leiden tot een toename van jihadistische aanslagen - en dan met name in Europa.
De woorden van deze Somalische terrorist lijken te suggereren dat het moment waarop die bloederige campagne zal losbarsten dan ook eindelijk nabij is. Ik hoop dat de veiligheidsdiensten dus heel goed zullen blijven opletten...
