Abbas benoemt nieuwe premier
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has appointed Rami Hamdallah, president of An-Najah National University in the West Bank city of Nablus, as prime minister.
The decision, made yesterday, was confirmed by Ahmed Assaf, a spokesman for Abbass Fatah party. Hamdallah has three weeks to form a government, Assaf said by phone.
