The UK’s fall from grace has been horrific - but we might be turning a corner

Many analysts are expecting that it will show growth stronger than the Q1 rise of 0.3pc; most are suggesting a rise of 0.6pc, but some predict an increase as high as 1pc. If we get any number stronger than Q1, commentators will find it difficult to avoid concluding that we are finally emerging from the darkness of the past five years
